Triple Easel Card

Gosh doesn't time fly when you're busy............... I have been busy making cards for various occassions but not had time to blog them so I promise to catch up.

I watched Nancy Watt on the telly the other day making a triple easel card and thought I'd give it a go.  This was my attempt, it's a leaving card for a lady at my hubbies work.

The papers were Docrafts papers from a Goody Bag, flowers were bought at the SECC this year as was the pearls and pink grosgrain ribbon.  The leaves are punched from green pearl card.

The image is my old faithful "Daisy" from Sugar Nelly and coloured with Promarkers.  I usually finish off the edges with a pale marker to "pop" the image but this time I decided to lightly dust with chalk with blue to look like sky and I feel this worked well too.  The sentiment was computer generated.
As I had folded my own card I was stuck for an envelope to I decided to make a boxelope.  I devised my own measurements and using my CC Ultimate I came up with the above.  The front is decorated with the lady's name cut on my Expression and a matching flower to the card.  The boxelope is held closed by tying the ribbon in a bow at the back.

Over all I was really pleased with this card, although I feel the two outside panels were a little plain so next time I think I'll fancy these up a bit.

Ok, off to get ready for work, first day back after a week off and I feel it's going to be a busy one.  I'll upload more cards when I get a minute.
